Weekend Event Set Up/Tear Down Assistant

Part-time

Saturday and Sunday on an as-needed basis

Role Description

  • Transport floral deliveries, assist with installing florals at events, and if interested, handle late night tear downs for ample bonus pay. 
  • Our busy season runs from April - October, with Jan-Feb being our slowest months. 
  • There is the potential to grow to a full time employee with this entry level role.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is:

  • Very reliable and punctual.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and works well without constant direct supervision.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, able to work on feet during an all day event setup.
  • Flexible schedule and full availability on weekends. Hours will include daytime deliveries and setups on Tuesdays-Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays, and nighttime event strike/tear-down shifts. Hours may change at the last minute and will fluctuate from week to week depending on event load.
  • Able to use good common sense and improvise well in a variety of day-to-day scenarios.
  • Friendly and customer oriented, polite and a team player.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have own reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Event and/or delivery experience is desired but willing to consider any candidate who demonstrates the above assets for the job.

Pay

Day Rate $18-25/hr Depending on Experience
Night Rate $50-$60/hr
