Freelance Floral Designer

Part-time

Wednesday through Sunday on an as-needed basis

Create beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, events and everyday deliveries in a positive team environment
Assist the team in designing florals on-site at events on location
Process florals and assist the team in handling everyday shop tasks such as cleaning and filling buckets, refreshing flower water, sweeping, etc.
Our busy season runs from April - October, with Jan-Feb being our slowest months.
There is the potential to grow to a full time position with this entry level role.

The ideal candidate is:

Very reliable and punctual.
Experienced and confident in floral design with proficiency in floral mechanics and techniques, floral budgeting, and treatment of flowers.
In possession of great artistic style and a sharp eye for detail.
Versatile style of design; able to receive feedback and adjust designs if needed to ensure client satisfaction and quality standard.
Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record.
Able to lift 50 lbs, able to work on feet during an all day event setup.
Flexible schedule and full availability on weekends. Hours will include daytime deliveries and setups on Tuesdays-Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays. Hours may change at the last minute and will fluctuate from week to week depending on event load.
Able to use good common sense and improvise well in a variety of day-to-day scenarios.
Friendly and customer oriented, polite and a team player.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must have own reliable transportation to and from work.

$18-25 /hr Depending on Experience
